I know its not fair to say it, but this wedding was one of my favorites. I can’t help myself. It was a mash-up of everything I love. The ceremony was held in a beautiful old Anglican church, the reception was held in one of the loveliest buildings on my Alma Mater’s campus, the couple was head over heels for one another, their families were kind and welcoming, some of my favorite past clients and my biggest cheerleaders, the Bonitas, were there, and there was tartan. That’s right, tartan. They included Stewart plaid throughout the day. It made my Anglo-Saxon roots so happy. As if that’s not enough to make this wedding amazing, Meghan and Dennis opted to forgo the typical DJ, and instead, hired DUELING PIANOS. I try not to swear on this blog, but seriously, how bad-ass is that?
Meghan and Dennis’ wedding was the last one of the year for me (but don’t fret, I’ve saved some stuff from this summer to keep the blog hopping over the winter). I’d like to think that my 2012 Wedding Season definitely ended with a bang. Looking through these images, I’m reminded of just how fortunate I am to have this amazing career and meet so many amazing people. So, since we just celebrated Thanksgiving here in the states, I’d like to say thank you to all of the amazing people who have trusted me to point my camera at them this year (and in years past). You have more of my gratitude than I can put into words. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Uh, dueling pianos?
A W E S O M E.
Stunning work, Heather! From start to finish, just gorgeous.
Lovely work! They look like such a fun couple, and you captured their personalities so well!
So crazy gorgeous.
Wonderful images from a very special day. We are very thankful for the help and work Heather provided to capture some of the love, fun and emotion from the moments of the day. I wish we could do it all again. I loved every minute. The pictures provide a perfect mix of laughs and tears. A heartfelt thank-you to Heather. Note: Awkward to admit, but, my only memory of her during the day was her taking some shots in the minutes directly after the Wedding and seeing her a couple of times bopping to the music at the reception. It is now very clear she was also taking a few pictures. Whew!
It should be illegal to take so many pretty photos <3 I'm in love.
Perfect set of pics! So much fun, specially the huge letters!
LOVE the tones of the images!
Wow, Heather! These are pretty dang spectacular. You really know how to work with natural light as well as playing around with that off-camera light too. Nice work, girl 🙂
