Lucy and Pierce are the kind of people who know how to make you feel good about yourself. From the first time Lucy contacted me, she had nothing but nice things to say about my work and was so enthusiastic about working with me that I couldn’t help but feel the same way about them. I’ve been looking forward to photographing this wedding for months and it didn’t disappoint.
They hosted a beautiful 20s inspired Felt Mansion wedding in Saugatuck, Michigan. When I asked Lucy what she wanted it to feel like, she talked about Downton Abbey and the Great Gatsby (minus the car crashes and tragic endings). But more than the details, which were lovely, or the style, which was impeccable, the two of them talked about the people.
I can’t remember a single point on their wedding day where Lucy or Pierce seemed stressed, or overwhelmed. They had their mind set on what matters, that people had come to Western Michigan from all over to celebrate their wedding. They wanted to carve out time for all their guests and make sure that every last person there felt their love and appreciation for traveling so far. I think they accomplished that goal.
Beautifully elegant! Congrats to the bride and groom!!!
