You could say photographing this wedding felt like being around a lot of old friends you’ve known forever. That was probably because I have known Christin forever. She singlehandedly drove me home from high school, every day of my Junior year, in a busted down SUV named Spencer. When Christin got engaged, she reached out and brought me back to my roots below the Mason Dixon to shoot her wedding in Auburn, Alabama. Christin’s family has a long tradition with Auburn. Her grandparents and parents were both married in the same church where Christin and Coley exchanged their wedding vows.
I figured what better time to share this wedding than now. Everyone loves Christmas in July.
I’ll leave you with this, a photo of me with two of the people I was closest to in high school. This is what an entire day of photographing a wedding in the Alabama heat does to you. These gals introduced me to local music and shaped me during those formative adolescent years and I’ll love them always. Triforce forever.
Lovely shoot, great evening shots, can be really tricky.
