Now that the wedding season is winding down, I’m starting to take the time to blog some of the work I’ve been doing this year. I photographed this wedding last spring at Castle Farms in Charlevoix Michigan, and this was only my second time there. It’s one of those interesting old places with lots of nooks and crannies, and it really is a place you could spend the day wandering around and getting lost.
It’s always a bit of an unknown, heading into a wedding day with a couple you’ve never met before. There’s always that question of whether or not you’ll have good chemistry with the couple or if you’ll be leaving at the end of the night attempting to wash the awkwardness off yourself. Luckily, Rachel and Chris are easy to get along with. They were one of those couples who trusted me to do what I was going to do and were just happy to be getting married and spending their day together. If their wedding day is any indication of what their life will be like, I’m sure it will be a fun ride. They’ve got a love like Jim and Pam, and if you don’t get that reference then you probably won’t get Rachel and Chris.
